Among the winners at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition was our OPG Konoba Kadic, a small family-run operation in Dugi Rat, near Split (Dalmatia, Croatia) which won a silver medal for quality of our domestic, natural Extra Virgin Olive Oil, from this world’s largest and most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

2022. New York - silver medal !
There has been big success for Croatian olive oils at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC) in New York, which is the world’s largest and most prestigious olive oil quality contest. OPG Konoba Kadic is awarded with silver medal at this competition, joining an elite list of the world’s best Extra Virgin Olive Oils on the Official Index.
The Annual event of the Croatian olive growers and olive oil producers NOĆNJAK is happening every Spring in different places along the Adriatic coast. NOĆNJAK assembles olive growers and olive oil producers from all Croatian olive regions and abroad, scientists, state and government officials, media and olive oil lovers. The 3-day program includes numerous educations through round tables, workshops, olive-oil tastings and product promotions, olive oil fair and island excursions to designated cultural attractions and olive gardens.
Oleum Olivarum, one of the events with the longest tradition as far as olives and olive oils are concerned, was happening anually at the beginning of May in Krasica, a small picturesque village near Buje in Istria, where exhibitors offered their olive oils, wine, honey and other Istrian authentic products to the visitors and to the quality evaluation by the Jury.
